100 MW WIND POWER PROJECT AT ANANTAPUR

This 100 MW wind power plant, supported by Orange Renewable, is located in the district of Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh, India. The project consists of 50 Wind Turbines of 2.0 MW each generating clean electricity. To ensure the best possible outreach to the community, the project has a dedicated site team that works exclusively on engaging local stakeholders. The project adheres to best practices and has conducted an ESIA study in line with the IFC guidelines. The goal behind this project is to generate over 215 GWh of clean energy and positively impact the lives of local communities.

SAFE WATER ACCESS IN RWANDA

CO2balance works with local groups and NGOs in Rwanda to deliver clean, safe water by identifying and rehabilitating broken-down boreholes. An ongoing maintenance programme, alongside water sanitation and hygiene training, ensures a safe and reliable community water supply is maintained.

Each of the 12 micro-projects under this programme prevent 10,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions.

 Monthly Charitable Project

Easter Seals

Offset Clothing is primarily concerned with the climate emergency and making sure we are doing everything we can to fix that. Along with that though, we feel it's important to give back to the community and make sure the people living on this planet have as many opportunities as possible.

That's why we chose Easter Seals as our Monthly Charitable Project (MCP) this month.

Easter Seals describes their mission as “Helping Kids With Physical Disabilities Succeed”. Based in Ontario, Canada, Easter Seals is committed to making sure no child goes without a fun, and enriching childhood. It is not easy raising a child with any kind of disadvantages. The work Easter Seals does to make the lives of these children and their families even a small amount better is admirable and absolutely worth the 10% of profits that goes towards our MCP program. In 2016 alone, Easter Seals hit the following milestones according to their website:

982 children received funding for mobility equipment and or communication devices.

808 children and family members attended Easter Seals camps.

68 Provincial and Local Ambassadors represented Easter Seals Ontario. Any many more across the country

22 Post-secondary scholarships were awarded.

Easter Seals is an impressive and admirable organization and that is exactly why we will be donating 10% of profits to them this month!
